Youth Services

Diverse City 2007-2008

“All 2gether different, All 2gether one.”

Our goal is to make young disciples of Jesus Christ and train them to make more disciples of Jesus Christ. Diverse City leaders teach straight from the Word of God. There is no doubt that as incredible as it is, the Word of God is our lifelong guide to facing every crisis and situation in life.

The youth meet multiple times each week:  Sunday Mornings, Sunday Nights and on Wednesday Nights:

Sunday School

A program designed to strategically study the Bible in its entirety. This is a class for serious studiers of the Word of God.

Blue Ridge Christian Camp is a very important part in the lives of the Youth Group at New Hope. Blue Ridge Christian Camp is located in McCoy, Virginia (15 minutes from Blacksburg). The camp offers programs throughout the year for the area church youth groups to fellowship and learn.

Mission Work: The Youth Group supports several missions and participates in Mission Trips. They have served in Mexico, New Mexico, New York, England, Haiti and the Domincan Republic. They have also done the "30 Hour Famine" with the proceeds going to feed hungry children around the world.

Service Projects: Service Projects are a passion for our students. The first camp week of the summer is dedicated to service projects. New Hope students have painted, mowed, removed weeds and completed many other tasks for elderly people. Last year they traveled to northern Virginia and served in a housing community for battered women and troubled children. They have also recently served food for a college gathering of 400 students.

See You At the Pole: Most of our students participate in the Nationwide "See You At the Pole" event on the third Wednesday morning in September. This is an outreach effort for prayer in the public school system.

Christian Teen Trips: The Youth Group travels and participates in Teen Conventions throughout the year, where they join thousands of students from all over the country to praise God together. There are also occasional small events, like bowling, putt-putt, youth group parties, or trips to do outdoor adventures like paintball or caving.

Discipleship: Our students are being taught to minister and teach others. All of our students are encouraged to assist with the smaller children in Vacation Bible School each summer as an effort to learn to teach. We also have many students that work with the children's ministry at New Hope.

New Hope Christian Church takes great pride in our Youth Group. The leaders are very dedicated and love the students and our students love the Lord.

Please consider our Youth Programs for your children.
