Ministries

Perhaps you are seeking to fulfill a personal need or use your special abilities in service. New Hope offers many ministries to meet the needs of the various people groups in our community and abroad. Young, old, married, single, men, women, teens, younger children, toddlers and babies. EVERYONE has a place at New Hope Christian Church where they fit in. Let us help you find your special place. If you are unsure where exactly you fit in, be sure to attend one of the “SHAPE” classes offered periodically. Please contact the church office for more information and class times.
We believe that service within the body is essential for individual growth and growth of the congregation.
Buildings and Grounds: (Coordinator: Coy Carter) (Deacon: Ronnie Wickham) The Building and Grounds Ministry is designed to make sure the physical needs of the church building and campus are met so that a comfortable and clean environment for worship and growth is available. These Ministries include:
Interior and Exterior, including Landscaping, Playground, Electrical/Heating, Plumbing
Children: (Coordinator: Rochelle Gerdts) (Deacon: Cliff Chumley) The Children's Ministry is responsible for providing opportunities for growth and discipleship for children ages Birth through grade 5. These Ministries include:
JAM, Kid’s Worship, Education, Events, Numbering System, Nursery, Toddlers, VBS, Walkers, Wee Worship
Compassion/Care: (Coordinator: Dana Brown) (Deacon: Chad Oakes) The Compassion Ministry is designed to give those whose gifts include helping hurting people and those in need ample opportunities to serve. These Ministries include:
Prayer, Cards, Meals
Education: (Coordinator: Eric Wyatt) The Education Ministry is responsible for providing educational opportunities.
Fellowship: (Coordinators: Kevin & Tammy Mills) (Deacon: Ken Philpott) The Fellowship Ministry will give those with the gift of hospitality and those who find their niche in offering opportunities for fellowship the ability to serve here. These Ministries include:
Food Coordinators, Hospitality, Greeters, Mid-Week Meals, Freshen-Up, Program Ministry, Sports/Recreation, New Members Bulletin Board, Pictorial Directory, Public Relations, Special Events, Sports and Van Ministries
Finance: (Coordinator: Terry VandeLinde) (Deacon: Jack Hooen) The Finance Ministry is responsible for handling the financial matters of the church.
Men: (Coordinator: Brian Willard) (Deacon: Brad Boris) The Men's Ministry is responsible for ministering to the needs of the Men of the congregation through small groups, bible studies and accountability relationships. These Ministries include:
Bible Study, Community Outreach, Fellowship, Social Events, Special Events, Sports and Trips
Missions: (Coordinator: Tim Schirm) The Missions Ministry is responsible for developing opportunities to engage in God's mission by reaching out to others in our local and worldwide communities. See Missions page for the missions that New Hope supports.
Seniors: (Coordinator: Mira Wilson) (Deacon: Tim O'Leary) The Seniors Ministry is responsible for ministering to the needs of the seniors of the congregation through small groups and bible studies. These Ministries include:
Bible Study, Community Outreach, Fellowship, Social Events, Special Events and Trips
Women: (Coordinators: Nellie Smith and Joy Freeman) (Deacon: Wayne Sowder) The Women's Ministry is responsible for ministering to the needs of the women of the congregation through small groups, bible studies and accountability relationships. These Ministries include:
Bible Study, Community Outreach, Fellowship, Social Events, Special Events and Trips
Worship: (Coordinators: Jeanie VandeLinde and Teresa Wickham) (Deacon: Tim Smith) The Worship Ministry is responsible for everything that takes place during the worship services. These Ministries include:
Children's Choir, Communion Servers, Worship Teams, Worship Choir, Worship Band, Offering Collectors, Drama, Costumes/Make-Up, Lighting, Sound, Recording Service, Preaching Research, Computer Worship Slides and Video Clips
Youth: (Coordinator: Joe Curry) (Deacon: Eric Wyatt) The Youth Ministry is responsible for providing opportunities for growth and discipleship for Kids in 6th thru 12th grade. These Ministries include:
Youth Programs, Small Groups, Wednesday Night Live, Youth Mission Trips
